How did this start? Coming from a brief indie development background (and wanting to return as a solo dev in the future!) as a self-taught unconventional sculptor I found myself needing a 3D printer for a personal project in order to bring the 3D models I had sculpted for it into reality. But the question was, what do I print after that? There’s plenty of amazing stuff out there but for me it all lacked cohesion, I don’t really want a bunch of unrelated things sitting on a shelf even if they are pretty rad individually.
I am a gamer among many other things and I wanted to print cool and iconic stuff from my favourite games, collections of things like props or characters and enemies but the most I could find was one or two models to print from any given game, and of variable quality as well. So I decided that if nobody else is going to provide them I would do it myself as a fan utilizing my skills to create fan models for 3D printing, and then I did. I thought others must want these things too, or could be feeling the same way I did, and so I made them available for others as well. Ever since I started I have continued to work on and improve the models and prints I create, expand what I offer, and lean into tabletop miniatures and life size props, becoming one of the few specialists in the world for this small video game niche (as far as I can tell!) with a focus on accurate details and accurate scaling.
I didn’t start this on a whim however, what has always been important is transparency and honesty, I did plenty of research on what’s already out there and found far too many low poly low detail models out there hidden behind flashy rendered and textured images, obfuscating the real product, hiding the files, even being obviously stolen from game files etc. So this site only uses renders of the raw model geometry being provided, inside the modelling software I use to create them, photos of real prints ordered by customers or printed for myself, and printed kits of the same models being sold as they are always prepared to my personal use standard. I am always completely honest about each model in its description, encourage looking closely at the screenshots and will tell you up front that they are far from perfect as is my organic gritty speed sculpting style. However as of this writing thousands of hours of work since beginning I am indescribably proud of them, they’re my style and for many items they are the best or only anywhere to be found. I only hope to continue expanding my capabilities and breadth of work in the future.
